Mr. Andrew G. Steel
Hull-born Andrew Steel retired from the Royal Navy after 13 years distinguished service to work in the energy sector in Sri Lanka and subsequently the forest industry. During his forces career, he demonstrated great leadership on an off the field, having captained the Royal Navy Rugby League team for several years and participated in the Royal Tournament as a member of the Fleet Air Arm Field Gun Crew. As a keen sportsman, Andrew still enjoys today a variety of sports and leisure activities, some of which include squash, golf, diving and wakeboarding.
Accredited with a Master's Degree in Business Administration from the Sydney Graduate School of Management, Andrew received awards for both e-commerce and management information systems. He was also the proud recipient of the Directors Award for all round excellence in the MBA programme. However, it was as a social entrepreneur that his career would suddenly branch out to see him become a successful managing director across a number of sustainable and green business portfolios.
Andrew is the CEO of the TREEDOM Group of Companies. Andrew guides the Group towards its vision of environmental sustainability working in a number of emerging markets. He is also the founder of a global charity called the PATT (Plant-A-Tree-Today) Foundation - with roots in the United Kingdom, Thailand, India and Indonesia - and workers from across the world, from countries such as South Africa, USA, and Germany.
PATT works alongside major organisations - such as United Nations and Thailand Government - and has support from multi-national brands such as Mercedes Benz, Orient Skies, PepsiCo, Merck and Crown Worldwide Group. His charity was a UN Seed Award Winner and is supporting the 2011 International Year of the Forest UN campaign. He wants to help combat climate change and deforestation - and is helping local communities fight poverty who are reliant on the sustainability of those ecosystems through his charity work.
Mr. Steve Griffin
A qualified Australian CPA. Steve has held senior Finance positions with Accenture (Asia Pacific Regional Head of Finance – Financial Services) and Baker & McKenzie Lawyers (Finance Director – Australia) and, more recently, roles within the NRMA organisation in Australia relating to their Mergers & Acquisitions activity.
During 2006 and 2007, Steve held the Chief Financial Officer's position for a listed Managed Forestry Investment Company – with operations throughout the Asia Pacific, Middle East and UK. He was primarily involved in Initial Project engagement, Land Procurement, Carbon Support & Registry Services, & Project Quality Assurance.
Mr. PisitJeungpraditphan
PisitJeungpraditphan, has been the Fund Manager and Head of Research at Siam Knight Fund Management Securities Co., Ltd. since 2006 and previously worked as an investment banker and analyst at IV Global Securities PLC from 2003-2005. Mr. Jeungpraditphan also worked at Access Capital, and Abacus Equity Partners from 1999-2002. Mr. Jeungpraditphan is currently a CFA charterholder and CAIA designee.
Mr. Jeungpraditphan is a founder and society leader of the CFA Society in Thailand. He speaks Mandarin, Thai and English fluently. Pisit'sspecialities are private fund management, fund raising alternatives, Merger & Acquisition, and financial advisory. Pisit brings substantial finance, due-diligence and management expertise to the investment committee.
Mr. Patrick Mulcahy
Patrick Mulcahy adds a breadth of experience to the board of directors having previously worked for Arthur Andersen & Co Ltd holding a range of positions from senior auditing to group finance director over his distinguished career, and more recently as the Senior Vice President Finance, EQUANT NV; a Global B2B data telecoms company – IPO'd July 1998 on NYSE and Paris Bourse with market cap of $5.5billion, raising $700m.
Mr. William Raper
Mr. Raper has 25 years advising companies including 12 years in Thailand. Experience includes IPO's, restructuring and debt, Previous employers include PriceWaterhouse, Ernst & Young, (Head of Restructuring Thailand), and Ferrier & Hodgson (Director Corporate and Financial Restructuring). Extensively qualified William's academic credentials include a Master of Commerce (Accounting) N.S.W. University, Australia.
Mr. ST Muk
ST holds an MBA degree from the University of Bath, UK. Moreover, he is a Certified Public Accountant and Chartered Accountant. His career started in Malaysia in 1983 with Price Waterhouse. From there he moved up through a number of private companies to finally reach the position of Group Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director of a listed private forestry company in Malaysia in 1993. ST was responsible for forest plantations, timber processing, tree plantation management services, and market research. Later, this company was sold to an international forest fund in 1997. ST prepared the valuation of the firm and led negotiations with the funds.
